Rough Riding

Holy cow, thank goodness for that Ranger!  These first days are all about surveying the land to know what the possibilities truly are.  The bow saw, power scythe, chain saw triumvirate was painstakingly used inch by inch (by Chris alone, I have done absolutely nothing to date) to create a path for the Ranger to get across the stream and begin true exploration.  I’ve only known the Ranger as a leisurely farm vehicle that was able to plow an impressive amount of snow.  I had NO IDEA that it could run over saplings and practically anything in it’s path like no big deal.  Here’s a snippet of yesterday’s jaunt around the property.

So much fun!!!  We’ve found the perfect spot to place our future home too!  I can already picture the steamy hot southern evenings spent on the porch sipping Rosé.  As a side note, when the local morning news spends an inordinate amount of time covering the best Rosé sales, I know I’ve found my forever home!
