Guderian Crosses the Meuse on Day 3 of the Offensive

My husband is a scholar of WWII and couldn’t resist the symmetry of today’s events and the importance of a historical battle.  The property has a pretty deep stream that runs from one end to the other, dividing it in half.  Not having any power, or driveway, the only way to get across that stream with a vehicle was to forage for logs and cut them to size and place in the stream to create a makeshift bridge.  While Chris patiently (jk, he’s never patient) for his Ranger to be delivered, he build a bridge.

The Ranger Bridge

Oh yeah, and most importantly…we finally got an address!!!  Trust me, this is no small feat when dealing with a rural south municipality that has no real interest in adhering to the pushy Northerner’s aggressive timeline.
