Well that was fast.  After the pond was dug out, we were certain it would take quite some time to fill up naturally.  Nope, one heavy downpour, and roughly 30K gallons later, the pond is full, AND full of fish!!!  Seriously, all kinds, big ones like catfish and tons of little guys.

It’s so relaxing to sit on the banks and watch the insane amount of dragonflies zoom over the surface.  I have a feeling this is going to be one of our favorite spots on the property.  We can’t wait to have the grass start to grow in!
